Research into horror posters

I put together this voiceover video on 'WeVideo' of my research into horror posters. When speaking to many people from my target audience I collated the information that I received and found a general consensus of what they preferred, what stood out to them and what they would change. I found this research effective for the production of my own horror poster as I know to include a colour scheme such ad black white and red/grey/green. I also know that I need to involve something that stands out and something that will lure my audience in for example an angle of gaze or a mysterious/creepy creature.

Group Evaluation

I believe that my group and I successfully recreated the original clip of the horror movie 'Annabelle' as we incorporated all the key aspects of the clip such as the location, costume, props, camera angles/movements and editing techniques. We did however, struggle with the light as in the original clip, dim lighting was used which contrasts with our re-enactment as it was filmed in broad daylight - due to the limited time we had to film.
We all collectively took part in the production of this re-enactment, I was playing the possessed lady so that meant I didn't contribute with the camera work, however, contributions were made within the editing process for example choosing the correct clips to use (as we filmed certain scenes more the once) and placing the soundtrack over the visuals in time and so on.
Being the villain I did find it quiet difficult affectively scaring the audience as my voice isn't as loud and as boisterous and the original scream - so this was something we had to film multiple times. But we later decided collectively that the original scream sounds better and makes the audience jump.
